The Butler County Visitors Bureau, a not for profit organization, is the official destination marketing and sales organization for Butler County. The organization is governed by a fifteen person board of directors appointed by the Butler County Commissioners.
The Bureau officially opened its doors for business on December 1st, 2006. The Bureau currently has seven full time employees: an Executive Director, a Director of Marketing, two Senior Sales Managers - Sports & Events, a Visitor Services / Group Tour Manager, a Marketing Manager and a Sales Manager - Meetings, Associations & SMERF.
The Bureau is funded a 3% a transient hotel occupancy tax. This is collected on all hotels in the county except those in Oxford, Middletown and Hamilton.
With the vision is to be a pioneer for tourism in Butler County and the mission to craft exceptional experiences for every visitor to the county, the Bureau is an aggressive, ambitious and energetic organization.
The Bureau represents county tourism on the local, regional, national and international level through affiliations with tourism-related organizations.
The Bureau proactively seeks and attracts new visitors' streams that will result in economic benefits for the entire county. This includes meetings, conventions, sporting events, reunions, and fraternal organizations.
The Bureau develops creative marketing and advertising campaigns that effectively promote Butler County as a destination for potential overnight and daily visitors.
The Bureau develops strategic partnerships with local and national organizations to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of sales and marketing programs.
The Bureau provides visitor information services for all visitors.
The Bureau actively researches and pursues opportunities to promote tourism development that will result in economic growth for the county.
